Always remove all packaging from candles before lighting. Stand in a container capable of containing drips of molten wax. Stand the candles where it is stable and will not fall or be knocked over Keep away from children and pets and never allow children to play with candles. Never place on an unprotected surface. Never leave burning candles unattended or move when lit. Never leave fragments of match in the candle as this may create a second source of flame. Never allow candle to continue burning if flame becomes enlarged. Burn away from walls, overhanging surfaces, draughts and flammable materials. Always extinguish carefully when there is still wax remaining. Getting the best from your candle When you burn your candle, in particular on its first use, make sure you burn as big a circle as possible. This will define the burning area for future uses. If you only burn for a short time then on future uses the small circle you have will be the burning core. This obviously only applies to candles with a flat top surface. If you follow this advice, you will get the maximum burn time from your candles. |
